2010-06-12 -- Phoenix Spirit nominated in Swedish Game Awards
Spearhead Entertainment's latest creation, Phoenix Spirit, has won "Best Mobile Game" at Swedish Game Awards 2010.
STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- June 14th -- Spearhead Entertainment was awarded the prize of "Best Mobile Game" during the finale of Swedish Game Awards 2010. The event is an annual effort that has been on-going for eight years in a row and has now become a major competition within the indie scene in Sweden.
Phoenix Spirit is a unique take on the Metroidvania genre and has been exclusively made for iPhone devices to take advantage of the it's accelerometer technology. The motivation for the award included the tilt controls and immersive story world.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- June 2nd -- Today Spearhead Entertainment received word that their latest game, Phoenix Spirit, has been nominated in the mobile game category of Swedish Game Awards.

Spearhead Entertainment releases their second iPhone Game, Phoenix Spirit™.
STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- May 17th -- Today Spearhead Entertainment announced the immediate release of their latest two month production, Phoenix Spirit. The game is now available on App Store for all the fans of exploration to enjoy.
Phoenix Spirit opens the door to a uniquely designed fairytale forest, where the player takes on the role of a spirit who is on a quest to save the beloved Mother Tree from illness. In order to do this the spirit has to explore the forest and collect powerups to unlock new areas of the world through non-linear progression. People familiar with Metroidvania type of games will feel right at home. The game has been especially designed to make use of the accelerometer technology of the iPhone.
Main features offered by Phoenix Spirit are:
- Save the Mother Tree - Discover the cause of the disease and get rid of it
- Exploring - Use the custom designed control scheme to explore the forest at your own pace
- Aestheticss - Be awed by the stunning visuals and dynamic music
- Powerups - Collect and upgrade powerups for your spirit in order to battle the illness
- Big world - Enjoy a vast world with no loading times
The game has been set to have a release price of $0.99.

Spearhead Entertainment announces their second iPhone Game, Phoenix Spirit™.
STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- April 8th -- Spearhead Entertainment today announced their latest game, Phoenix Spirit, for the App StoreSM. In Phoenix Spirit™ players will help the spirit of the forest to cure the Mother Tree from her severe illness. The game features a unique fairytale forest and will be available on the 17th of May on the App StoreSM.
Phoenix Spirit™ offers the following enjoyment to the players:
- Explore the forest - Using the unique gliding/flying gameplay the player can explore the forest at their own pace.
- Save the Mother Tree - Play through all levels in order to save the Mother Tree and bring the forest back to life.
- Compete - With integrated OpenFeint support it is possible to compete against players from around the world. It is even possible to challenge other players through twitter and facebook.
- Unlock new levels - There are three bonus levels that can be unlocked by people who have mastered the game.
