We have quite a few projects going on over here. First off we are still working hard to bring an updated Fall of Atlantis back to the App Store. We anticipate it to be ready for sale in early July. What you will find is that we have improved the gameplay of the story mode quite a bit by actually making use of the platforming that was non-existent in the previous version. The graphics has also been enhanced to look less blurry and dark. Last but not least there’s also some dialogues to give some more background to the world of Atlantis.
As for Phoenix Spirit we are currently investigating if we can put in alternate controls that have been requested by a lot of people. In fact the majority of bad reviews stems from the fact that people want to be able to choose control style.
What’s this you say? Let’s say our good friends over at Spearhead Beijing has been working on this for a while and well it has been successful enough for us to port it over to the iPhone! More information on this later.
Oh, we also have a secret project going on cause hey… all studios need secret projects.
Phoenix Spirit 1.0.3 is now out on the App Store. Please read the patch notes before updating.
NOTE! This patch will cause your map explored on the world map to display incorrectly. This happened in a previous patch and we have addressed the issue for upcoming patches. We apologize strongly for any inconveniences caused by this.
If you are currently playing a game then we suggest that you do not update yet unless you want any of the features mentioned below.
New additions:
- Added a quick calibrate button
- The final boss now has sound effects
Fixes:
- Added the introduction movie back into the game. It should now work properly for all iDevices
- Swapped places on two upgrades to their intended positions
- Buttons now change when you get a stronger version of an ability
- Jump tooltip now disappears properly
A while ago we decided to join in on the Swedish Game Awards this year. Last year we didn’t make it (but we did get to exhibit); however this year we finally made it! You can read all about it here.
Yesterday we received an e-mail from Apple and a few hours later we were on the “New and noteworthy” section of the US App Store! I’m talking about Phoenix Spirit of course. Go check it out and if you didn’t buy it you should!
Also here’s some more coverage of us in media. This time a few negative reviews:
We’ve been featured in Slide to play today. These guys never cease to amaze with their knowledge of games and actually playing through the games. Our last game got some hard but very fair critique from them. If you guys want a fair review of games you should check them out. Hopefully we’ll get a better review from them this time aorund.
Just wish they would respond to e-mails more often. Always keeps us hanging
Yesterday we were featured on Toucharcade as an upcoming game. Pretty exciting I must say. The views on our Youtube trailer shot up like mad and has been racing upwards the last few hours.
Phoenix Spirit has been officially accepted into App Store! That means that the game will make it out on time for release on Monday! That means the 17th of May! We are going to need all your help to spread the word. So please if you own or know someone who owns an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch then tell them to buy the game!
Not sure if we mentioned this before but we are re-making Fall of Atlantis. People who have previously bought the game will receive the new game as an update. We are soon going to conduct a closed beta test of the game. You can find more information about it in this Toucharcade thread.
